IMPROVE YOUR SEO
How Local SEO Helps You Attract New Customers
Local SEO means using your address to tell Google where you are. So Google can send customers to you from your local area.
Target Your Market Using Local SEO
There are many services and products that people want to buy from local providers. Local SEO helps them find you.
We can target people who are searching with very specific location keywords like “Plumber Melbourne”, “Electrician Brisbane” or “Waterproofing Sydney” etc
This allows you to put on more staff, expand to new locations, and grow your income. Giving you the opportunity to take more holidays, spend more time with family or do charity work. All while growing a highly saleable business!
Convert More Clients Using Local SEO
Even if your service or product can be bought all over the world, your local community is often the most likely to trust you and buy from you (at least in the beginning).
Local keywords have high conversion levels as the people who use them have a very specific intent.
If they search “electrician Brisbane” they want an electrician who is based in Brisbane. They don’t want one from Sydney or Melbourne.
It also means they want to hire an electrician.
These are powerful buying keywords. In contrast, someone who searches “electrical wiring” may want to hire someone to install electrical wiring but may also be a high school student or just looking for information on the topic.
SEO targets keywords that bring buyers to your website.
Mobile Searches on the Rise
Every year I see most of my client’s mobile search traffic slightly increase and desktop slightly decrease. This is a worldwide trend – more and more people are searching for things on their mobiles. (Although in 2020 this trend reversed as people spent more time at home.)
Google now uses the mobile version of your website to rank it for all your keywords. So you need to make sure that your website is performing well in mobile search in order to be in the running for all the mobile users.
Outstrips Adwords significantly over the long term
Adwords results are often better than SEO results in the 1st year (given the same spend on both).
Take an example where you are a local business in a competitive industry, e.g. plumbers, and you invest $1000 a month into SEO and $1000 a month into Adwords. Somewhere around the 2nd-3rd year, your traffic from SEO will start outstripping your traffic from Adwords. Then, from year 4-6 onwards the traffic results from SEO are exponentially better than Adwords for the same spend.
Ranking in the organic listings gives you higher brand credibility than Ads. The perception is that any company can pay for Ads. But if you are number 1 in Google’s organic section, your potential client thinks that other people and Google must trust you. So they are more likely to trust you.
With SEO you can take a break for a few months and most likely still maintain your rankings and traffic. With Adwords, as soon as you stop paying, the traffic stops.
